Arrive with evidence and a question

Bring a short graph or session note, one point of uncertainty, and a recent example. Agree on what the supervisor will observe. Ask what you should keep, adjust, or stop; then repeat the skill and seek feedback in the moment when possible.

Close the loop

Write down the agreed action, who owns it, and when you will review the result. RBTs should seek direction from their supervisor before changing a treatment plan. Trainees should use supervision to build assessment, analysis, and decision-making skills—not just to accumulate contacts. Protect client confidentiality in examples and records.
